I started this for the guy I used to be.
From 280 lbs and avoiding gym mirrors to a certified personal trainer in Hutto, TX — this is the story behind Inspiration Fitness.

My dad had a health scare. That's the moment everything changed for me. Watching someone I love land in that situation made me look in a mirror I'd been avoiding for years. I weighed 280 pounds. I was the heaviest I'd ever been. And I knew if I didn't do something, I'd be the one in the hospital bed next.
I started training that week. Mostly alone. Mostly afraid. I lost almost 100 pounds over the next stretch of my life, and today I weigh around 195. But the number isn't the part that matters. The part that matters is everything I had to white-knuckle through to get there — because I never asked anyone for help.
I always wanted to hire a trainer. I was too scared. Scared of being the biggest person in the room. Scared of being judged for not knowing what a "superset" was. Scared of paying somebody and then disappointing them. So I figured it out the long way. The hard way. The lonely way.
The friends I made along the journey are the only reason I didn't give up. They didn't know I was new. They didn't care. They just made room. And I realized — that's what I always wanted from a coach. Someone who'd just make room.
Why I Got Certified
Once I'd been on the other side of that journey, I couldn't unsee how many people were stuck where I had been. I got my personal training certification not because I wanted to coach elite athletes — but because I wanted to be the trainer the old me needed.
I want to break the stigma. I want to prove that fitness isn't a club for people who already look the part. It's for the woman who hasn't worked out since college. The dad who's exhausted at 4pm. The guy who only owns one pair of gym shorts because he hates shopping for them. It's for everyone.
What I Stand For
- Judgment-free as a hard rule, not a marketing line.
- Programming built for your body — not Instagram's.
- Honest conversations about food, sleep, and stress.
- Mental health as part of the plan, not an afterthought.
- Slow, real progress over fast, fragile transformations.
What I Stand Against
Crash diets. Trainer-as-drill-sergeant theatrics. Body-shaming language disguised as motivation. Cookie-cutter PDFs sold as "coaching." Anyone who tells you the gym is supposed to feel terrible.
Who I'm For
